Support for the People Who Spend Their Days Supporting Others
Working in education can be incredibly meaningful. It can also be exhausting, emotionally demanding, and at times overwhelming.
Educators Deserve Understanding (EDU) is an initiative of Peace and Balance Therapy created to provide compassionate therapeutic support for educators and professionals working within educational environments.
Because the people caring for our students deserve to be cared for, too.
Created From Personal Understanding
As a former public school social worker, Greg Ganci has seen and experienced firsthand the pressures that come with working within a school system.
Educators and school professionals are often described as superheroes, magicians, and dedicated. While those words recognize the incredible work happening in our schools, they don't always reflect what it feels like to be the person doing that work.
Behind the dedication can be stress, burnout, fatigue, frustration, anxiety, and feelings of failure.
Those working in education often invest so much of themselves into supporting the success and well-being of others that their own mental and emotional health gets pushed aside.
EDU was created to change that conversation.

Understanding the Emotional Weight of Education
Education is deeply meaningful work, but meaningful work can still be difficult.
The EDU initiative provides a supportive, judgment-free environment where education professionals can talk openly about what they're experiencing with someone who understands the unique pressures of working within a school environment.
Together, therapy can become a space to process those experiences, develop practical tools, establish healthier boundaries, and work toward greater emotional balance.
